WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE SCIWRF FESTIVAL?
SEPTEMBER 9-11, 2016
Friday, September 9 from 6pm to 10pm: Official Opening Ceremony and Welcome to Country, Music from award-winning singer-songwriters.
Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11: 9am to 5pm: One-hour panel discussions, authors’ presentations and workshops PLUS two Literary 'Picnic' Lunches.
Saturday, September 10 from 6pm to 11pm: Festival Poets’ Night including slam poets, bush poetry, performance poetry and singer-songwriter performances.
Sunday, September 11 from 6pm to 9pm: Festival Closing Celebrations including comedy, music and fireworks!

WHERE WILL THE SCIRWF FESTIVAL BE HELD?
The Festival will be held at Coolum Beach in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. Festival events will take place in Coolum Civic Centre (main venue and Festival Office and Bookshop), Coolum Library, Coolum Bowls Club, My Place Restaurant, Coolum Surf Club, Jack Morgan Park (two marquees) and Tickle Park with seven venues of entertainment.


DO I NEED TO BUY TICKETS TO SCIRWF EVENTS?
The Festival offers One-Day and Two-Day Tickets to attend events in our official venues (Coolum Civic Centre, Coolum Library, Coolum Bowls Club, Festival Marquees and the Coolum Surf Club). Our two Literary Lunch Picnic Panel Discussions in Coolum Civic Centre offer a "picnic smorgasbord" included in the ticket price. The Festival's two 'Start With a Laugh' Literary Breakfasts at My Place Restaurant are an extra $20 Special Ticket and can only be purchased by One/Two Day Ticket Holders (capped at 70 tickets each day). Jack Morgan Park will host Artisan Market Stalls during the two-day Festival and the park is open to the public. The Festival’s Closing Ceremony at Tickle Park is also open to the public. All tickets include free entry to the Festival's Official Opening Celebrations in Coolum Civic Centre from 6pm to 11pm on Friday, September 9.

WHEN WILL TICKETS GO ON SALE?
One-Day, Two-Day and Literary Breakfast Tickets can be purchased via our website. The Festival’s Ticket Office will open at 1pm on Friday, September 9 in the Coolum Civic Centre where ticket buyers will be issued with their One-Day or Two-Day Festival Wristbands. Tickets can also be purchased at the Festival Office but it is recommended that these are bought online well before the festival to avoid delays and sell-outs. Vouchers for the Literary Breakfasts will also be issued with wristband pick-up.

WHAT ARE THE TICKET PRICES?
One-Day Pass: Adults $85, Students $50
Two-Day Pass: Adults $160, Students $90
Literary 'Start With a Laugh' Breakfasts $20 (Includes one-course meal and a drink) will be held at My Place Restaurant which features gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean from Point Perry to Noosa National Park.

HOW DO I PICK UP MY TICKETS?

The Festival Ticket Office will be open from 1pm at Coolum Civic Centre on Friday, September 9, 2016. Ticketholders should present their receipts to be issued with One-Day or Two-Day armbands (Adult or Student/Pensioner) and Special Breakfast vouchers (if purchased). Tickets are available to purchase during the festival but it is recommended that to avoid long queues and sell-outs, tickets should be bought online well before the festival dates.

CAN I VOLUNTEER?
The Festival is working with local community groups and our University of the Sunshine Coast to organise invited volunteers who will gain much benefit from the event in terms of experience, mentoring and networking.

CAN I BE A PART OF THE FESTIVAL AS A WRITER?
The Festival committee has now completely filled its jam-packed 2016 program - three nights, two days and seven venues. Please email our Festival office for possible inclusion in our 2017 Festival from September 8, 9, 10 and add a short bio and your presentation idea and we will determine if your work fits in with our themes and program.
